Biosketches:

Professor Gilchrist is an Emeritus Professor at Sheffield Hallam University, UK, and works with the UK Higher Education Academy, via the Royal Statistical Society Centre for Statistical Education, on the development of the training of university lecturers in the teaching of statistics. Before retirement he was a head of department and Dean at SHU. He has published three books and various papers mostly related to statistical modelling.
