Biosketches:

Dr. Steve Su is currently a Research Fellow at the Epidemiology

statistics division in George Institute, Sydney, Australia under

Professor Mark Woodward. He was a former post doctoral fellow for

Australian Centre for Business Research at Queensland University of

Technology and former consultant to Biometrics Unit in University of

Adelaide and Human Movement in University of Queensland.  He has also

been involved in statistical works relation to Cooperative Research

Centre for Construction Innovation and Centre for Integrated Asset

Management in Australia.  His industry experience includes consultancy

for the Australian Royal Navy, Food Spectrum, SunWater and Building

Services Authority in Queensland, Australia.

 

Dr. Su obtained his undergraduate degrees in Accounting and Statistics

from University of Auckland, New Zealand. After graduated with first

class honours in statistics he went on to do a PhD at Queensland

University of Technology, Australia, under a competitive Australian

Research Council grant.  His undergraduate thesis covers wavelet

smoothing applied to Geology KT boundary data and his PhD thesis covers

development of new statistical models to analyze the effect cost

allocations in accounting on the volatility of accounting earnings. Dr.

Su currently has publications in areas of accounting, statistics and

geology.
